A file of correspondence and reports concerning a speech by a Polish delegate at a congress of the Albanian Labour Party. The speech, delivered by Roman Nowak at the Fourth Congress of the Albanian Labour Party, was reported in the Polish newspaper Trybuna Ludu and highlighted Soviet-Polish views on peaceful coexistence, the inevitability of war, and the need to defend the unity of the socialist camp. Further commentary concerns the critical line taken by the Polish delegate towards Albania, alleged to be linked to Albania's behaviour at the United Nations General Assembly. The documents also note the strong pro-Chinese line adopted by Albanian leader, Enver Hoxha, during the conference.
