The file also includes a progress report on negotiations for an agreement on American-Soviet educational exchanges; a discussion of a proposal by Encyclopaedia Britannica to make a film of Soviet life; and a note stating that the British Secretary of Agriculture has postponed a visit to the Soviet Union. Other documents include a report that the United States State Department has reminded Soviet ambassadors that communications with U.S. Members of Congress must pass through the State Department; and a press release announcing that the Motion Picture Association of America will resume negotiations with the Soviet Union for the sale of films.
