A file of correspondence on the inaugural commercial flights between London and Warsaw. The file discusses the composition of the Polish delegation which was to travel to London on the initial flight; the arrangements for the entertainment of the Polish party at the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Transport; and the potential diplomatic problems caused by the flight to London stopping to refuel at an East German airport while the British ambassador to Poland was on board. The file also covers difficulties over a British M.P. travelling on the inaugural flight to Warsaw, which would entail his missing an important vote in Parliament; and the possibility of a British hunting dog being sent to Poland on the flight as a gift.
