A file of correspondence containing a letter from the Central Office of the British Conservative Party suggesting that the television company Associated Rediffusion should be discouraged from making a film on Hungary in collaboration with the Hungarian government. Foreign Office minutes on the letter note that the Hungarian government would not allow any objective reporting of the situation there, and discuss the best means of persuading the television company not to make the programme.
