A file of correspondence and meeting minutes concerning economic relations between Britain and Bulgaria. The documents discuss the value of imports into Britain from Bulgaria; a request from the British government for the Bulgarian government to repay a debt of £30,491; and the imminent expiration of the present Anglo-Bulgarian trade agreement. The documents also cover the persistent failure of the Bulgarian government to meet its trade quotas to Britain in recent years; and the view of the British Board of Trade that a new trade agreement with Bulgaria should not agree to the "totally unrealistic" quota limits that the Bulgarian government has proposed.
