A file of correspondence and press material concerning economic relations between Bulgaria and Czechoslovakia. The documents discuss the signature of a three-year trade and payments agreement between the Bulgarian and Czechoslovak governments; and the signature of a trade and payments protocol between the two governments for 1958. The documents also contain a copy of a communiqué issued by the Bulgarian and Czechoslovak governments announcing these trade agreements, under which Bulgaria will supply to Czechoslovakia iron ore, crude oil, machinery, and agricultural produce, in exchange for transport vehicles, coke, chemicals, and consumer goods. Other documents comment on the signature of a Bulgarian-Czechoslovak trade and payments protocol for 1959.
