A file of correspondence and reports on commercial relations between the United Kingdom and Czechoslovakia. Subjects covered in the file include negotiations for the trade quota lists for 1958, in relation to the 1956 trade arrangement; and details of imports and exports. Goods to be traded include industrial and agricultural equipment, mining equipment, machinery and machine tools, motor vehicles, timber, paper products, furniture, metals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, consumer goods, and foodstuffs. Further correspondence includes the Freight on Board (F.O.B.) figures for Czechoslovak imports to the United Kingdom, which are used to set compensation levels for nationalised British interests; and a Czechoslovak request for a list of pre-war blocked accounts held by the Custodian of Enemy Property.
