A file of correspondence on trade relations between Czechoslovakia and Poland. Subjects covered in the file include the signing of trade agreements for 1958 and 1959, and negotiations for a five-year agreement to cover 1961 to 1965. Goods to be exported under the agreements include coal, construction and textile machinery, machine tools, zinc, soda ash, agricultural products, minerals, rubber, chemicals, machinery, rolled products, and consumer goods. Further commentary concerns the extension of Czechoslovak credits to Poland, which are to be used for the exploitation of sulphur and for improving Polish deep coal mines; and events at the Second Session of the Czechoslovak-Polish Committee for Economic Cooperation. Talks at the committee included plans for future cooperation in the in spheres of metallurgy, chemical, and engineering production.
