A file of correspondence on the Anglo-Romanian Payments Agreement of 1936. The file contains correspondence between the Foreign Office, the Treasury, and the Westminster Bank over whether the agreement had been abrogated by the war between Britain and Romania which started in 1941, and whether Romanian government bonds which had been "overprinted" as having been in British ownership in 1936 could be traded more freely than those which had not been overprinted.
