Northern (N): Bulgaria (NG). Economic Plan for Bulgaria

A file of correspondence, reports, and press material concerning economic developments in Bulgaria. The documents contain a report produced by the Bulgarian government announcing the results of the 1956 state economic plan; a note by the British legation in Sofia analysing the results of the plan; and a translation of the law for the state economic plan for 1957, which also serves as the last year of the second five-year plan. Other documents include a range of statistics analysing the cost of living in Bulgaria, covering wages and salaries, taxes, and retail prices; and a series of articles in the Bulgarian press announcing the results of the state economic plan for 1957 for the first three quarters of the year.
