The correspondence discusses the signing of an agreement for the exchange of goods between the two countries, with details of imports and exports. Romania is to export drilling equipment, ores, chemicals, timber, and agricultural goods. East Germany is to export raw materials for the textile industry, chemicals and chemical products, agricultural fertilisers, machines, and machine tools. East Germany, together with Czechoslovakia and Poland, are to participate in a cellulose combine which is to be built near Braila to process reeds from the Danube delta; and are to invest in a sugar plant near Livezi.
