A file of correspondence concerning a visit to Yugoslavia by Esmond Wickremesinghe, a Sri Lankan journalist. The documents discuss how Wickremesinghe was "well looked after" during his visit; and how he showed considerable interest in "Yugoslav experiments in decentralisation, workers' councils, and also in their economic planning". The documents also cover the view of the British high commissioner in Colombo that Wickremesinghe "fancies himself as a press lord who manipulates the levers of political power" and is not "one who can be trusted".
