A file of correspondence concerning diplomatic relations between the Soviet Union and Ethiopia. The documents discuss how the Soviet legation in Addis Ababa has recently been raised to the status of an embassy; and how this follows "closely on the heels of the legation of the Federal Republic of Germany, which was raised to an embassy last month". The documents also contain a short biographical profile of Wasan Hailu Kabbada Wagshum, who will shortly be travelling to Moscow to serve as the Ethiopian ambassador to the Soviet Union.
