A file containing documents relating to visits to the Soviet Union by groups from other countries. Subjects covered in the file include a number of Indian delegations visiting the Soviet Union; what these visits mean about India's relations with the Soviet Union; relations between India, the Soviet Union and China; an Indian film festival held in Moscow; and discussion of a speech given by the Indian ambassador in Moscow, which had not included a controversial section on Soviet-Indian relations that a journalist had obtained. Other visits noted in the file include that of some French youth leaders, who visited hospitals, trades union offices, and facilities for children; that of a Swedish journalist, who published his impressions; and that of eight observers from Pakistan studying industrial and agricultural development in various parts of the Soviet Union. The file also contains a report of a visit by Soviet railway engineers to Switzerland.
